OPIRG York, the Ontario Public Interest Group at York University, a student based social justice, environmental education and action organization is seeking a full time, permanent Volunteer and Programming Coordinator.
OPIRG welcomes the contributions that individuals from marginalized communities bring to our organization, and invites indigenous people, people of colour, poor and working class people and those on social assistance, women, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and queer folks; transgender, transsexual, intersex and two-spirit people; single parents, members of ethnic minorities, immigrants, people from non-academic backgrounds and people with disabilities to apply.
To opt-out of OPIRG York, you are required to bring the following to the OPIRG office (C449 Student Centre):
1) A printout of your schedule dated November 10, 2017 or later;
2) A photocopy of your valid YU Card; and
3) An OPIRG Opt-Out Form (attached below and available in the OPIRG office).
You can submit the documents to Imran, the OPIRG York Admin. and Finance Coordinator, Monday to Thursday from 2-5pm at the OPIRG York office. If you are unable to make it during those times, please email email@example.com to arrange another time to drop off your opt-out documents. Upon receiving the 3 documents, OPIRG York will mail you a cheque for 10 cents per credit (as listed on your timetable) by the end of the fall term.

Position Summary: This position will assist in creating a sustainable Rebels with a Cause Film Festival, as well as organizing a smaller Rebels Film event in the Jane and Finch community this year.
